Band to play Christmas tunes at historic Boynton Beach clubhouse

The Boynton Woman’s Club is rolling out its three-concert series, and will kick it off this Sunday with a performance by the Gold Coast Band’s Wind Ensemble.

Tickets are $20. The club is at 1010 S. Federal Highway.

The band will play seasonal music such as Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson and Cantique de Noel by Adolphe Adam, according to a news release.

“The program will also feature a special piece entitled Christmas Recollections, which includes perennial holiday favorites like Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Here Comes Santa Claus,” the release says.

The second concert of the series will be Jan. 22 when Roberta DeMuro will perform. On April 2, pianist Al Guastafeste will perform.

Proceeds from all concerts will go to the Boynton Woman’s Club Historic Preservation Fund to help with the renovation and restoration.

This concert’s theme is “Disney, The Magic of Music.”

The event is at 2:30 p.m., and tickets are $8.

The school is at 4975 Park Ridge Blvd.

The Gold Coast Band in Boynton Beach is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and the musicians will share their talents with the public at a concert on Sunday.

The band, under director Kenneth Wilbanks, will perform at the Boynton Beach High School auditorium beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are $7 and can be bought at the door or online.

Grammy-nominated vocalist Donna Singer will perform at the concert. Also, Robert Carnachon, a well-known band director, will be conducting.
