Store representatives have been talking with Boynton Beach city commissioners about opening a location in the city.

Commissioner Joe Casello said Aldi is interested in opening a store at Knuth Road and Boynton Beach Boulevard.

“They’re very interested in Boynton Beach,” Casello said.

Meanwhile, the city is also in talks with Wawa. Casello told The Palm Beach Post in February the company is interested in opening somewhere south of Boynton Beach Boulevard. Wawa is a family-owned chain of Pennsylvania-based convenience stores. The stores are known for their sandwiches, and they are also gas stations.
