Portion of Lyons Road to be closed near Boynton Beach

Lyons Road will be closed at the L-32 Canal between W. Atlantic Avenue and Boynton Beach Boulevard late Friday into Saturday morning. The closure will begin at 11 p.m. Friday and end 8 a.m. Saturday.

Crews are closing the road for underground drainage and utility line installation, according to a news release.

Detours:

-Northbound traffic will be detoured at W. Atlantic Avenue west to State Road 7 north to Boynton Beach Blvd. then east to Lyons Road.

-Local traffic north of W. Atlantic Avenue on Lyons Road will end at the north driveway to the Delray Marketplace shopping center.

-Southbound traffic will be detoured at Boynton Beach Boulevard west to State Road 7 south to W. Atlantic Avenue then east to Lyons Road.

-Local traffic south of Boynton Beach Blvd. will end at Appalachian Ridge Avenue (Valencia Bay development).
