DELRAY BEACH — Northeast Third Avenue and Artist Alley between Northeast Third Street and Northeast Fourth Street in Delray Beach will be closed to traffic for a couple of weeks in January for a pole replacement project, according to Florida Power & Light.

The project, which includes removing and replacing utility poles, will begin Jan. 9 and last at least two weeks.

The roads will be closed in portions, according to FPL.

This will effect motorist access to the businesses along those streets, such as Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market, Pazzo Italian Deli and 3rd & 3rd restaurant.

Motorists should be alert for workers in the area, FPL said.

FPL does not anticipate any power interruptions during the replacement project.

For more details on the project, call FPL at 561-742-2048.
