Grab free coffee and chat with Boca Raton police officers at this meet-up

BOCA RATON — The city police department is the latest law enforcement agency to participate in “Coffee with a Cop,” a series of informal gatherings between residents and police officers.

On Thursday, Dec. 1, officers from the Boca Raton Police Department will be at the McDonald’s at 1776 N. Military Trail between 8-10 a.m.

Anyone who shows up for the “Coffee with a Cop” event will get a free small coffee and a chance to ask questions and get to know local officers, according to the department.

The Boynton Beach Police Department held a similar meet-up earlier this month. And the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office recently held a “Coffee with a Deputy” event west of Boca Raton.

Police departments throughout the area are partnering with McDonald’s to build relationships between patrons and police through these events.
