Do you want an inside look into what it’s like to be a Boynton Beach police officer?

The department is offering that through the Citizens Police Academy.

The academy is a 9-week program, and it runs Jan. 4 through March 1. Participants must be at least 18. Courses to be given include the marine, special victims and violent crimes units.

Classes are Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. For information and to register, call Officer Schrecengost at 561-742-6848.
