DELRAY BEACH — Surf and water sports enthusiasts will flock to the south end of Delray Beach’s coastline this weekend to compete in the 4th annual surf competition or watch from ashore.

Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, festival goers will gather at the beach near Anchor Park, at 340 S. Ocean Blvd, for the surf festival.

The competitions include short and long board surfing, stand up paddle surfing, stand up paddle board half-mile race, stand up paddle board five-man relay race and a tug-of-war on the sand, according to the festival’s Facebook page.

The festival is free, but it is suggested that participants donate $30 to the city’s Ocean Rescue department, which will staff the event with lifeguards.

For more information or to register for the competition, visit the Delray Beach Surf Festival Facebook page, or call Ocean Rescue at 561-243-7352.
