Get ready, Boca commuters: Another temporary road closure is in your future.
Spanish River Boulevard will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night from Tuesday night, Nov. 1, through Friday morning, Nov. 4, and again from Monday night, Nov. 7, through Thursday morning, Nov. 10 for work on the new Interstate 95 interchange. The road will remain open during the day.
The Florida Department of Transportation said the closure will be in effect from Broken Sound Boulevard to Airport Road, and traffic will detoured via Dixie Highway and Broken Sound.
Though this closure will not affect rush-hour commuters, drivers still are advised to plan for delays and avoid the area.
The work is part of the $69 million project FDOT began construction on in 2014 to build a new I-95 interchange at Spanish River Boulevard. Crews are slated to finish construction next summer. Click here for the latest updates from FDOT on the interchange project.
