DELRAY BEACH — It’s that time of year when you can once again stroll through Old School Square’s open-air market and grab fresh vegetables, baked goods and a multitude of prepared foods.

Delray Beach GreenMarket opens its season Saturday, Oct. 29 at 9 a.m. It will run every Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., through May.

To open the GreenMarket season this weekend, The Witches of Delray, a group that dons costumes for an annual fundraiser, will bike from Ocean Boulevard to the GreenMarket to raise money for  the Achievement Centers for Children and Families. To register for the event, visit The Witches of Delray’s website.

Sticking with the “green” theme, Human Powered Delray, a pedestrian advocacy group, coordinated free bike parking at GreenMarket to encourage visitors to bike to the event, according to coordinators.

More than 60 vendors are locked in for the Delray Beach GreenMarket. For the full list, visit the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency’s website.
