Update: Due to Hurricane Matthew, this event was rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22.

DELRAY BEACH — Meet Delray Beach firefighters in their element at the department’s Open House and Wellness Event on Saturday, Oct. 8 Saturday, Oct. 22.

See the fire trucks, spray the house and chow down on some hot dogs at the free event, which will be held at Fire Station 1, at 501 Atlantic Ave., between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The department will have fire trucks and rescue vehicles on display, as well as live demonstrations. You can also meet Sparky the Fire Dog, according to Delray Beach Fire-Rescue.
