Delray Beach is giving local pups some appreciation by converting Old School Square‘s grounds into a temporary dog park on National Dog Day, Friday, Aug. 26.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the grounds of Old School Square, at 51 N. Swinton Ave., will be fenced off to create an area for dogs to run and play. There will be a section for small pups and large ones.

Dezzy’s Second Chance Animal Rescue, a Boca Raton-based nonprofit, will oversee the event.

Owners are asked to bring proof of rabies shots for their animals. Water bowls and waste bags will be available.

For more details, contact Dezzy’s at (561) 243-7190.
