If you’re seeking some quality family time before your children head back to school Monday morning, there’s plenty to do in Boca Raton this weekend.

Here are some family-friendly events happening:

» Make a splash. Music, water slides, games and more will be featured at Sugar Sand Park, at 300 S Military Trail, on Saturday, Aug. 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free back-to-school event is open to children ages 3 and up.

» Explore Florida art. The Boca Raton Museum of Art’s most recent exhibit honors artists from the Sunshine State, including works from local talent. Have the family explore the exhibit this weekend, as admission to the museum is free this month. The museum is at  501 Plaza Real.

» Rock out … doors. Mizner Park Amphitheater is hosting a free, outdoor concert Friday night. The Long Run, an Eagles tribute band, will perform beginning at 6:30 p.m. Bring blankets and lounge on the amphitheater’s lawn. Plus, you can order food through Delivery Dudes and have dinner with your show. Mizner Park Amphitheater is at  590 Plaza Real.
