1- Learn to boat.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 54 in Boynton  is working with the Perry J. Cohen Foundation to make sure boaters are educated before they go out in the water. The foundation is paying for a safe-boating class Saturday. It is a PowerPoint class from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Harvey Oyer Park on Federal Highway. The course encompasses boat handling, seamanship, necessary safety equipment, docking, line handling and knot-tying, heavy weather running conditions, rules of the road, elementary navigation, and new federal and state laws. Each student will be given a certificate of completion and the information will be forwarded to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for a safe boating card. To enroll, call 561-331-2429.

2- Bowl for a good cause.

The Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches is hosting the first Jamie Frank Memorial Bowl-A-Thon on Sunday at the Greenacres Bowl. The event is to raise money for the Jamie Frank Camp Tikvah Scholarship Fund in honor of Jamie Frank, a girl who spent her summers at Camp Tikvah at Camp Shalom. She was born with a lethal bacterial infection. The event is at 6126 Lake Worth Road from 10 a.m. to noon. The event includes two games, pizza and refreshments. Registration is $15 per person through July 21 and $20 per person after. To register, donate or get more information, go to http://www.jcconline.com/bowlathon, contact Leah Rosenberg at LeahR@JCConline.com or 561-712-5235.

3- Go to an in-store event at The Disney Store at the Boynton Beach Mall.

Here’s what the website says, “You’re invited to Summer Play Days! Join us for awesome in-store events EVERY DAY through September 5. Receive a FREE Tsum Tsum wristband each week for participating in an event (this week is Donald). The activities include Art of Animation, Trivia, Story Time and Showtime.*”
