Atlantic Avenue and the Florida East Coast Railway has been closed for the All Aboard Florida crew to perform construction on the Brightline passenger rail service since Sunday.
“No vehicular traffic can cross the tracks at the intersection while it’s under construction and the second track is being added because the roadbed is temporarily removed,” wrote Ali Soule, Public Affairs Manager of All Aboard Florida in an email to The Palm Beach Post.
The reopening of Atlantic Ave will be tomorrow at 6 p.m.
At a later date, a second railroad track will lay in between crossings and welded to the rail stub that was previously installed.
Drivers should detour via Linton Boulevard to US 1.
