Why has Boynton Beach’s Denson Pool been closed?

If you’ve tried to go swimming at the Boynton Beach Denson Pool the past couple of days, you’ve noticed that you can’t. Until now.

The pool finally opened Monday.

Here’s why it was closed: The city was in the process of ordering a new pump for the pool that would be delivered and installed the week of July 19. But then, the motor in the existing pump died. A new working pump was to be installed Friday, recreation and parks department employees said Tuesday.
