The northbound on-ramps of Interstate 95 at Glades Road were scheduled for an overnight shutdown Tuesday and Thursday, but will remain open as weather forced a change in construction plans, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
The department anticipates a snag to construction operations due to Tropical Storm Colin, and rescheduled the on-ramp shutdowns for Tuesday, June 14 and Thursday, June 16.
Between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. those days, the eastbound and westbound on-ramps at Glades will be closed with traffic redirected to Federal Highway then north to Yamato Road.
Construction is part of a $69 million project to create the city’s fifth Interstate 95 interchange at Spanish River Boulevard, which will give direct access from the highway to Florida Atlantic University’s campus.
The project is expected to be complete in the summer of 2017, according to FDOT.
