Boynton Beach police continue to investigate Monday’s vandalism at the press box of the Ezell Hester Jr. Community Park, and now have the names of those involved and have met with some of them, Commissioner Joe Casello told The Palm Beach Post.

Five boys were involved in the vandalism, and police have met with two or three of them. One is a student at Boynton Beach High and another attends Santaluces, Casello said.

None of those involved have anything to do with the East Boynton Wildcats, the football team that primarily uses the press box.

The vandalism happened about 3 p.m. Monday. Eleven newly installed impact windows at the press box and concession stand were smashed and broken and the inside was ransacked. Detectives believe they stole helmets and football jerseys. Drops of blood were found at the scene.

Monday was the fifth time this year police have been called to Ezell to investigate vandalism, according to police records.
