The family of Edward Morton, who was shot and killed in Boynton Beach one year ago, will speak at a news conference Thursday and ask that if anyone has information about the 27-year-old’s murder, to speak up.

Morton, 27, was shot in the face May 26, 2015 after answering the front door about 10 p.m. at 420 Northwest Third Ave., just north of Boynton Beach Boulevard. Boynton Beach police detectives believe Morton was familiar with the man who killed him.

The lead detective on Morton‘s case will also speak at the news conference, which starts at 2 p.m. at the police station at 100 E. Boynton Beach Blvd.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the sketch should call Boynton Beach Police Det. William Muhleisen at 561-732-8116 or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 800-458-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted via www.bbpd.org or the MyPD app. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
