In a discussion that was confusing to themselves, the city staff and the public, the Boynton Beach City Commissioners on Tuesday night revised the role of the Community Redevelopment Agency board’s advisory board.
At the CRA board meeting in April, members found out that the CRA advisory board can not advise the commissioners when they sit as the CRA board, only when they sit as the City Commission.
How does that make sense? Many wondered.
On Tuesday, the commissioners changed that so the CRA advisory board can advise both the CRA board and the commissioners. And both the CRA board and commissioners can assign topics for the advisory board to look at.
Commissioners were also expected to discuss whether residents should be added again to the CRA board, but after a lengthy and confusing discussion, they decided to table that.
